RTG(Righteous Through God) is a contemporary Christian band that combines their unique blend of vocals and high energy music to create an uplifting and meaningful worship experience. The band consists of members Dave Liniarski, Chris Ofeno, Jeff Babbitt, and Peggy Turner-Carr.
Together, they have written songs to express their faith-life stories and experiences. In 2013, they opened for The Afters, “Life is Beautiful” tour. In 2014, the band began recording their songs in the studio with the help of David Winans II on bass guitar from the Grammy award winning Winans family and the legendary guitarist/songwriter, Dick Wagner. In January of 2016, RTG released their first CD, “Power of You”, recorded & produced at Real II Reel Productions. RTG was also nominated as finalists for several DMA’s ( Detroit Music Awards ) including “Outstanding Gospel/Christian Act” for 2016 and 2017. In November 2017, the band released their new single “The Return”, produced by Riley Friesen and recorded at Full Circle Music in Nashville, TN. RTG was nominated as finalists at the 2018 DMA’s for “Outstanding Performance”. The band continued to write and released two more singles – “Lord I Pray (Most of All)” in November of 2019 and “Lift Me Up” in November of 2020. Both of these releases were nominated for “Outstanding Gospel/ChristianRecording” and “Outstanding Gospel/Christian Artists or Group” at the Detroit Music Awards. In April of 2021, the band released their second CD, “The Word”, produced by Riley Friesen atFull Circle Music in Nashville, TN. In 2022, RTG received two DMA awards for “Outstanding Christian/Gospel Group” and “Recording of the Year” with “The Word”. In December of 2022, they released their newest single, “In A Split Second”. They continue to perform at churches, events, concerts, and conferences, including benefits to support local Christian and international Christian organizations, such as Straight Path Ministries.
